ENSEMBLE FESTIVALS

Conducted By

Mary Gae George

These Ensemble Festivals provide study, rehearsal, and performance opportunities that are as exciting as they are productive.

A combination of classes, team rehearsals, team lessons, and performances guide students in exploring the essential processes involved in studying, rehearsing, and then performing music.

Based on the shared responsibilities, cooperation, and enthusiasm of working with at least one partner, the events of the Festival can open NEW PATHWAYS to:

· focused listening,

· efficient study,

· developing a conception of each piece's form and interpretive elements

each of which enhances the student's involvement in music making and creates a PERSONAL EXPRESSION IN MUSIC.

The usual response is "I never thought I could accomplish so much this quickly!"
