The NIGHTTOWN OperaTheatre is an ensemble dedicated to the works of American composer/playwright James Drew.

Hailed as the most unusual interruption in the otherwise calm flow of opera history, Drew's works (a wild mix of tragedy, comedy, and the circus) celebrate the most serious and humorous aspects of Western culture.

True to NIGHTTOWN philosophy, Drew regularly seeks out new talented singers and actors to work with the ensemble, both in the United States and Europe, in order to ensure constantly changing modes of interpretation.

Most recently, Drew's theater work Survivors in Pale Light has been produced and broadcast by UCSD-TV in San Diego, a PBS affiliate, and evoked a startlingly charged response from viewers in all sectors -- much of it positive.
